Our Story

AUGUST 03, 2019

Russell and I first met through a church retreat in 2018. We then crossed paths again during the summer of 2019 after high school graduation. We had an undeniable connection from the start but were about to go to colleges 963 miles apart. I fell in love with his eagerness to know Jesus at a deeper level and his constant pursuit of me. Russell was always clear with his intentions and wanted to pursue a relationship with me. After much prayer, we decided to take on a long-distance relationship. We both had many nerves with starting a relationship this way, but the Lord provided so much peace to us. Russell did not get to meet my dad before he passed away, but he always showed so much interest in how he parented me and what our relationship was like. Russell learned quickly that my dad was very intentional with me in the area of dating. He learned that my dad taught me about biblical purity and admired that about him. From the beginning, Russell and I vowed to make that a part of our relationship. We wanted to date each other in a way that reflected God's design. Little did I know that this would turn into the sweetest 4 years of loving each other in a way that reflects Jesus. -The Bride

Fast forward to the summer of 2021, I had my first talk with Mrs. Donella about marrying her daughter. I had known for a very long time that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Camille, but due to our long-distance relationship and being in school, we had to push this idea off time and time again. As time went on, engagement plans changed countless times, and at many points, it was uncertain how this was going to even be possible due to the area of life we were in. BUT the Lord showed us that He was in control and provided the opportunity on a summer day in May. While this was one of the most stressful times in our lives, God used it to grow us in our relationship with Himself and with each other. On June 17th we will be just shy of 4 years together. This has by far been the best 4 years of my life having the opportunity to love and grow alongside my beautiful fiancé. It’s funny how you think you could never love someone more, yet as time goes on and you look back you realize just how wrong you are. Our story has been pretty incredible and I firmly believe that God has been so prominent and has been with us every step of the way. -The Groom
